CORCHEM^® 97 Zinc Rich Primer

Cross-linked aromatic polyurethane resin based on diphenylmethane 4,4′-diisocyanate and zinc powder mixture that cures by reacting with atmospheric moisture resulting in an insoluble zinc matrix. The polymer structure is extremely adhesive and chemically inert. This high solids organic zinc primer, which conforms to The Society for Protective Coatings Painting System Number 12, Code: SSPC-PS 12.00 – 12.01, is designed to provide electrolytic protection similar to galvanizing for steel surfaces, which will be exposed to severe chemical and physical environments. It is formulated to have excellent adhesion, hardness, toughness, impact, and abrasion resistance properties. The cured film (free of solvents) conforms to United States Department of Agriculture requirements for incidental food contact.
